As a result of having to constantly prepare for battles in both spiritual & physical worlds, Kelly developed complex ptsd (cptsd). She suffered severe anxiety & bouts of depression throughout her teens & young adulthood. Finding her voice saved her life.  Kelly C. Hanwright is a writer of Poetry And Fiction, She has been writing since age 8. As a child, she made up stories and sometimes illustrated them. Once she sent them to an aunt, who surprised her parents by responding with a $1,000 check to be put into a college fund! Raised by a parent with untreated mental illness, Kelly lives with Anxiety and Complex PTSD. She seeks to empower other women to give voice to their trauma through writing as part of the healing process, to open honest dialogue and erase stigma  about mental health struggles.
